Budgie died. Should I separate aggressive budgies or keep them?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female

do you mind if you give me some advice. Last night my blue budgie passed away. So we just have the girls and the green on. The dynamic in the cage has changed as the girls have lost both their partners and they are very dominant. The girls and the green one never really got on with each other and I was wondering if I could seperate them and would the green one be ok by himself or would i have to keep them together?

Thanks for reaching out about Alfred. Not sure if there is one distinct answer for your situation. Trying to keep the whole group together should be attempted first as budgiergars are social animals. Provide multiple feeding and water stations, perching areas and hiding spots. This can hopefully decrease aggression. Good luck.
