Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 39 lbs
My dog has been diagnosed with bacterial hepatitis and a UTI. She is lethargic and refuses to eat, our local vet has her on antibiotics and Mirtazapine. She is refusing to eat and hasn't eaten much in the past week. She we stop giving her antibiotics and see if her appetite comes back or keep giving them to her on an empty stomach?

I would not stop the antibiotics until the full course is given, however if she will take a treat, giving it with that, or even a little boiled chicken may help entice her to eat some without upsetting her stomach. If she is refusing any and all food at all, it is best to let the vet know as they may want to start other treatments such as an IV/injectable antibiotic or IV fluids to help get her feeling better.
