Why is my bearded dragon sick with diarrhea after eating tomatoes?

Question

I think I fed my bearded dragon to much tomato and she’s become ill. I’m guessing she’s 6 months I bought her in April but wasn’t told how old she was. She has diarrhea and is scratching the bottom of her cage in the little hide spot I have her. She’s keeping her face in the corner and laying flat where she’s dug. Thanks for reaching out about Luna. Yes the high water content and sugar in tomatoes could have caused the problem, but don't rule out intestinal parasites or an infections. A visit to the veterinarian is recommended to perform a fecal examination. These are often respond well to treatments. Check and correct husbandry parameters, review diet with the veterinarian.
