Hello, I want to ask you about an issue that bothers me. I castrated my female dog in February and from then until June when she started to develop again and a cystitie appeared and we took an ultrasound picture and it turn out that the doctor who performed the castration had remove the uterus and only one ovary. Please tell me if we need do surgery again to remove the other ovary and in any way that threaten her health and life!!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Reys. Yes, both ovaries need to be removed. If not, she can still experience signs of heat as well as being prone to an infection in the remaining portion of the uterus. I hope this information helps!
