My dog limps after rising but shows no pain. Is a $3000 surgery needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 8 months old

Dog limping on rear leg after rising,vet examined and dog showed no sign of pain when examined,even when handle quite roughly,yet vet said yes obviously in pain it will require $3000 operation.vet gave anti inflammatory drug yet no pain meds.could it be less serious than vet says?

Yes, it can be less serious than that but unfortunately without knowing the diagnosis your vet established and the type of operation needed it is difficult for us to give you a specific advice. Please repost your question and give us more informations to receive further answers.
