Why is my senior dog moving slow, not eating, and struggling to get up?

My cocker spaniel is about 13-14yrs old and he moves slower and sometimes he doesn't wanna get up from his crate 2 go outside 2 take care of business. So I carry him and stand him up and then he goes and comes back 2 me and I carry him back inside. He doesn't want his food but he does drink water. Today I gave him some bread that had the bill miller's bbq sause on it and he ate it. Is he slowly dying or does he have arthritis? Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered

Poor Pepper. It is so hard to tell you what is wrong with the moving and not eating without an exam. It could be arthritis along with something causing a decreased appetite. He needs full exam, lab work, and x-rays, and pain control to be able to answer that question. Call your veterinarian first thing in the morning and make an appointment
