Are matts close to the skin dangerous to my cat's health? I have tried to comb out and the 2 are not growing out. I can't afford a groomer. On his belly.

Matts close to the skin can lead to skin infection and can be painful if they pull on the skin. I recommend to call around and find out if any groomers or vet clinics can offer to shave out the matts if it's only a few matts and Oliver will allow it. You can also purchase pet clippers to shave out the matts. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
