My dog chewed an Orajel tube. Is it safe? Should I go to the vet?

My dog got a hold of an orajel tube and chewed it up should I go to the vet?

This is unlikely to cause a problem. She may make have some drooling, bu otherwise it shouldn’t be an issue. If she has a reaction to the medication for some reason, she may have some vomiting or develop hives or facial swelling. If these things occur, take her in, but it’s reasonable to just keep an eye on her at home. If she swallowed the tube or big pieces of the tube, an intestinal obstruction is possible (though not necessarily likely). If she develops vomiting or isn’t wanting to eat or seems painful in the belly, take her in. Thanks for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
