Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 15 lbs
My parents recently adopted a dog who acts sick a lot (lethargic and not eating consistently). We don't know if there is an underlying issue, or if she just needs to adjust to her new home. I'd like my dog to spend some time with her, as they had a lot of fun at they're first meeting, but I'm afraid of potential communicable diseases. Both dogs have had all of their required vaccines. Is there any reason to worry?

Thank you for submitting your question. I recommend that your parent's dog is seen by a veterinarian. It is always a good idea to have an exam when a new pet is brought home. Hopefully this is just an adjustment period for her, but it is important to determine if she is ill or not. If she is healthy, then maybe playdates with your dog with help her to settle into her new home. I hope this information helps!
