Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 7 years and 2 months old | 17 lbs
Hi Melanie, I remember reading that you can give dogs up to 5% liver daily, is this true? Based on this information she could potentially have 0.5 of an ounce of liver per day. would this be ok? I just want to make sure I understand, thank you!

Hello again! Yes you can potentially feed this much, but she doesn't need it daily. It's a treat, and treats should never be given daily or they no longer are treats. In addition, too much liver can lead to an overdose of vitamin A, which in turn leads to bone deformity, bone spurs, digestive problems, muscle weakness, weight loss, and stiffness. It's better to limit it to three times a week.
