My parakeets won't eat fruits and veggies. How can I get them to?

Hi, I have 2 parakeets, Cookie and Pickle, one a fancy parakeet, and one a green parakeet. They have been with me for almost two weeks, and the problem is, I can't get them to eat fruits and veggies. I can hand feed them and get them on my finger, but they won't eat any fruits and veggies. I've also tried putting it in their food bowl, which also doesn't work. Do you have any ideas? Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | 13 days old | 0.1 lbs

Thanks for reaching out about your parakeets. Try measuring and limiting amount of seed offered, allowing them to get hungry. You can remove seed for several hours, only offering the new food. Good luck.
