What's a red bump on my dog's belly if it's not bothering her?

My dog has a red bump on her belly. What could this be? She seems fine, it doesn't bother her.

It could be an infection of a hair follicle, or it could be a tumor of some kind. I don't see her age listed, if she's very young its unlikely but it it is possible. If its not bothering her, it is not an emergency, but get her in when you can. Your vet may take an aspirate (poke it with a needle and look at the cells under a microscope ) to get a better idea of what it is, or they may recommend surgical removal if they are worried about a tumor, or an oral antibiotic if it seems to be an infection.
