Can I buy my puppy's vaccines online and have a vet give them?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I just moved to NY State with my 4.5 month old puppy. She's had her initial vaccines but is due for more vaccines and her rabies vaccine. I was wondering if I could buy the vaccines (including the rabies) online and then take them to a vet to be administered.

You may be able to buy some of the vaccines online, but the rabies vaccine will likely not be available for you to buy. Purchasing vaccines online exposes you and your pet to the risk of ineffective vaccines due to improper handling and storage.
