What should I do if my parrot's eye is closed and he won't eat?

Hello Doctor .so my parrot closes 1 eye and the other eye is fine and it started yesterday almost night he closes his eye and now hes refusing eating or drinking and hes not even playing and hes not talking a lot.. please reply Doctor

Thanks for reaching out about Coco. Keeping the eye closed could be the result of a trauma, infection, inflammation and other conditions. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. If not eating or drinking and weak, a veterinary exam is even more important, and quickly. Providing heat support in the 80-85 F range can give some comfort but is not a treatment. Good luck.
