Will my dachshund-schnauzer puppy have a soft or shaggy adult coat?

Looking at adopting this puppy. I want to know what kind of hair he will have? His mom has curly hair because she is 1/4 schnauzer but 3/4 dachshund, the dad is long hair mini dachshund (with kind of wiry hair I think because of the snout). The owner said that he has long hair like his dad, his brothers and sisters have the moms wiry hair. When he grows up will he have shaggy hair like the dad? Or will it be the soft/long/fluffy kind? Hello. You have picked out such a cute puppy. The way his coat lays now, I would be quite certain that he should have the softer coat, possibly with a little curl or wave to it.
