My mouse is scratching, losing fur, and has wounds. What should I do?

We have two mice that we purchased from Petco - a white mouse and a black mouse. The black mouse was fine when we first got her, but then I noticed that she was slowing down and keeping in their house. She still eats and drinks water, but she started to scratch herself a lot when she’d come out of the house. It then seemed like her fur was thinning. When she got out of the house to eat tonight, I noticed two, what I can’t obly describe as, open wounds on her back. We don’t know what to do. Pet's info: Small Animal | Mouse | Female

Thanks for reaching out. Scratching to the point of bleeding and wounds, is likely fur mites, which are difficult to see with the naked eye. A veterinary visit is recommended to take a skin scraping and examine under the microscope. If positive, both mice need to be treated. Good luck.
