My Jack Russell x is 12 years old and is not desexed. Over the past couple of days she has not been her usual self and is not really eating how she usually does and is sleeping and drinking more then the norm and has been urinating in the house when she has been house trained since she was a pup. This afternoon I also noticed a yellowy mucus/pus like substance dripping from her vagina. Do u know what could cause this and how is it treated

Hello. Of course, I can not diagnose Dora, but it is possible that she has an infected uterus. This condition is called pyometra. It is also possible that she has a severe infection in her urinary tract. She needs to be evaluated by your veterinarian. She may need emergency surgery to remove the uterus, or she may respond to medical treatment, but either way she needs professional help. I hope You can have her seen soon & thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
