What's causing my indoor cat's ear issues? Mites or infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

Hi, I am wondering what my cat has, I just noticed it and got very worried. I don’t know if it’s ear mites or scabies. She is an indoor cat, all my cats are indoors and I have other cats that I do not see have the same problem. What can it be?

This could be a bad ear infection. Ear infections can be caused by yeast and bacteria as well as ear mites, so if your other cats do not have the same issue, I suspect Ariel may have a bacterial or yeast ear infection. You need to take her into a vet today to have this diagnosed and treated.
