How to safely remove ticks from my dog's face, paws, and eyes?

How to get rid of ticks on paws,face,eyes n other soft organs from ticks?vet advised not to spray on these areas.he told to use FIPRONIL FREEDOM SPRAY on her body.also how to know whether these ticks are disease carrier?one I found was black in colour n big in size n had a cream colour protruded face from its body..what was it?others were if brown+red colour.how to kill these ticks without harming my dog's face,eyes etc?

Hello. Unfortunately, without a laboratory analysis, there is no way to know which tick may be a disease carrier. Spray your fipronil on a cloth & wipe down all areas you did not spray. This includes around the face, eyes & ears. If you pull or handle any of the ticks, do wash your hands thoroughly with soap & water. Watch for any signs of lethargy, loss of appetite, fever & shifting limb lameness which may indicate tick fever in your pet. Use your spray regularly to prevent reinfestation.
