My German Shepherd has bloody, slimy poop. What should I do?

Hi doc! I'm Angim Loreno 22, from the Philippines. I would like to ask for help because my GSD has a slimy substance on his poop and what bothers me most is that it has blood on it... I doubt it is parvo because 3 weeks had passed and he is not showing any signs of parvo. Talking about his appetite he eats well but not as like before that he eats three- times- a day. I found out that this is made by the intestine to keep the colon lubricated but it's another story if it has blood on it.

Hi Angim! Yes, you are correct about the mucus you are seeing, it can be normal but not if there is blood in it. It could be Scout has intestinal worms, a GI illness, or may have eaten something rotten causing the blood. This should be checked out by a vet, and I would take him into one today.
