My puppy is recovering from parvo. Are yellow specks in his poop normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered

my puppy has parvo. They said he doesn’t have a bad case because he was very alert, and wanting to eat and being himself. since he was diagnosed he was getting progressively better every day which was since Tuesday, he started drinking water on his own Wednesday, and yesterday was his first time doing poop. He’s been doing so well. This is today’s poop, does it look okay?? What are those yellow specks inside? Is it from the parvo? He’s on Cerernia & metronidazole.

I think his stool looks pretty good. I would not worry about the color. The yellow specks could just be undigested food. Don't worry about it too much right now. Just keep an eye on the stools and if these yellow specks continue you may want to have your vet check the stool for parasites.
