What to do if my 3-week-old rescued kitten won't poop or lost voice?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 22 days old

I rescued 2 kittens about 3 weeks old. One has not yet pooped. We have had them for 2 days. The other is losing his voice. Is there anything I can do? They had been outside for about 1-2 days before we found them .

If you're unsure how to care for orphaned kittens, contacting your local humane society is a good first step as they often have programs to help foster parents learn how to raise kittens and can provide services such as food and medical care for the kittens. I'm also including an article on orphaned kittens that may help you. Most kittens this young will still need help with stimulation to go potty, however if they still do not go potty or seem ill or in discomfort, vet care is best. https://www.petcoach.co/article/how-to-raise-orphan-kittens/
