My dog's ruptured anal gland wound won't heal; she's rubbing and won't walk.

Our 4 yr old shipoo had a ruptured anal gland which was treated by our vet. She's on clavamox, metacam, and betadine for the exterior. She's wearing a cone to prevent licking. Her wound is not healing because on her walks she is trying to rub her bum on the grass before pee/poo, she's very fast when doing it. She also doesn't want to walk more than 100 yards and ten stops and sits. I've tried doing a sling around abdomin but then she goes limp and wont move. She wont pee or poo in the backyard.

Poor dog! The wound is probly painful or itching as its healing. I would talk to your veterinarian tomorrow, and tonight a I would put some hydrocortisone cream around the rectum and wound....not in wound. See if it helps w itch.
