Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed
I have a cat who is 20 years old, she has lost some weight and does not eat as much. Today she not eaten anything and seems lethargic just laying down behind drapes and toilet. We are supposed to leave to go out of town, and leave with a pet sitter. Not sure what to do. If I take to the vet she gets extreme anxiety. She had been very healthy the entire 20 years we have had her.

A 20 year old cat is considered "geriatric" - in human years she is about 96 years old. She may have been healthy her whole life but things do start to fail at this age. I strongly recommend you have her to the vet for an exam. If she gets too anxious traveling then I suggest you find a mobile vet to come to your house instead. I don't think you should leave her at home with a pet sitter in this state. I found these mobile vets in your area: 1. Moore's Mobile Veterinary Services Veterinarian in Brentwood, California Address: 2420 Sand Creek Rd, Brentwood, CA 94513 Phone: (925) 672-8700 2. https://www.bennettvet.com/mobile-vet-services.html
