Why is my bird breathing hard, tail bobbing, and puffed up?

Question

My bird Rosie has shallow breathing,and her tail moves when she breathes. She also keep her eyes closed a lot and she sits really puffed up. Her sister used to pluck her and since then moved her to a different cage . Her feathers are now growing back . I don't know what to do or what's wrong with her . Pet's info: Bird | Parrot | Female

Thanks for reaching out about Rosie. Sounds as if she is very ill with a respiratory problem. Shallow breathing might indicate a tracheal obstruction, coelomic mass, pneumonia or other problems. A veterinary visit is recommended as soon as possible, as this sounds serious. Good luck.
