Why is my dog sick with bad breath, drooling, fever, acting strange?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 15 lbs

From past few days, my dog has been lazier than usual. His breath smells like something rotten and he constantly drools and is always licking his lips. His body temperature has been at 103-104c pretty much every day. Seems to have lost his appetite. He is always panting and his acting strange. Please help. There are no veterinarians where i live.

This is concerning for an oral issue, which could be an infected tooth, something stuck in the mouth, autoimmune or inflammatory conditions in the mouth, etc. Until we have a diagnosis, I can’t tell you what would be the best treatment. Casper really needs to be seen by a vet to determine what is going on.
