Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Female | 1 year and 7 months old

My bird is molting shorter than every month. I took him to the vet and the gave us multivitamin electrolytes . They said its ok to give her 2 drops in her water everyday . Isnt that too much ? Also while she has vitamin in her water can she still eates fruits ? Im so worrier abt her molting .the feathers fall and grow back shorter than everymonth . I want to take a blood test but i dont think i can do that in this city with such ignorant vets:(

It is best to follow the dosing instructions given to your by your vet. It should be fine to still give fruits and veggies as a snack in addition to the vitamins and Naoki's regular diet. If you are concerned about underlying health issues, going ahead with bloodwork is a good idea so you can get a clearer picture of what is going on as well.
