Oud rhodesian rigdeback is limping with here left raar leg for almost 2 Months now. We live in dar es Salaam Tanzania and went to the vet here. They said it is mot broken but they do not have a x ray to tell us what iT is. She rest for the whole day and only goes outside for peeing. She limps mostly after she laid down and after a while she start putting a bit of pressure on the leg again. Please advise what this can be and how we can fix it

Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Nala's care today! Lameness can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. Unfortunately, without further diagnostics, it is not possible to know for sure what this may be. Anti-inflammatory medications may help. I recommend that you have her reevaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Treatment will be dependent on findings though at the very least pain control medications can be prescribed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
