My cat has a UTI with bloody urine. Can I split her cephalexin dose?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

Cat has regular UTIs. Currently peeing blood again. Have 500mg cephalexin. Can I split up into appropriate dose for her?

You can split in quarters (125mg each) and give 1/4 twice daily for 5 days. If signs are not resolving in 5 days of treatment a check up would be required. Stress related (idiopathic type of inflammation) infection and presence of crystals are the most common causes of it.
