Why is my dog breathing fast and acting weird? Vet needed?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 2 years old | 72 lbs

My 2 year old half German shepherd half Australian shepherd has been acting werid today.. very needy, whiny. And we are currently laying in bed for about 20 minutes now and I was checking her breathing as it seemed a little fast.. it is currently sitting at about 74 breaths per minute. And irregular I took it for 30 seconds and it was about 15 breaths the first 15 seconds and then 22 the next 15 seconds. Is this okay ? Is she okay or do I need to take her to the vet in the morning??

I'm concerned about Princess's breathing and the fact that she has been acting weird. Keep a close eye on her tonight, and take her into a vet in the morning. Rush her into an ER vet immediately if she starts showing other signs like vomiting.
