What to do for my dog's tearing eye with crust and possible allergies?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 21 days old | 1.6 lbs

Hi I just noticed today my dog had something in his eye and it look like it cold in his eye . I know his eye keeps tearing up . He went to sleep and just woke up and I notice it again , I got it out and it appears to be cold . I know his dad has allergies and the I was told that all his kids have allergies. So what could I do to make him feel better ?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Knuri. It could be he has an eye infection. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take him into a vet today to have his eye examined, diagnosed, and treated. Best of luck.
