Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

My dog 8 yrs old on 9th July had her pyometra surgery n now she has developed this on her incision site.today vet told that it's not hernia as it is hard n not loose or soft n is not penetrating inside.its just muscles collected n is not hernia.n didn't give ny medicine n said it will remain as it is n not heal but it's not hernia.but I doubt as it looks inflamed n swollen n slightly red in colour.plz tell if hernia really gets soft or seems loose when pushed inside?

Hi, with a hernia your vet would be able to feel discontinuation of the muscles. It would feel soft and you would be able to push it in. It might just be an inflammation to the inner sutures that has become harder with time. If Chutki seems well in herself, I would not worry about it. Hope she continues to do well!
