My cat has a yellow bump on its lip/chin. Is it a pimple or infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 6 years and 5 months old | 10 lbs

I’m not sure what this is on my cats lower lip/chin area. It’s a raised bump (which was more swollen yesterday) but it looks like it has a yellow pustule or area to it? It is an infection, a pimple, or what could it be? Do you think it’ll go away on its own?

This looks like a mild skin infection. I suggest you use these medicated wipes on the affected area once a day. If no improvement in 7-10 days then Pepper should be examined by your vet. ( https://www.allivet.com/p-5393-douxo-chlorhexidine-3-ps-pads-for-dogs-and-cats-30.aspx )
