My old cockatiel's cheeks are graying. Is he near the end of his life?

My pet cockatiel has lived for around 25 years and my research says that is a long time, his red cheeks seem to be "graying" and there are no eating problems or pooping problems but I just want know if he's due to pass soon because I want be there for him when he does

There is no way for us to tell you how long Pepper has to live. No one can really predict that. To get the best idea of his health you would need to have him examined by an avian vet and have some blood testing done. There are reports of cockatiels living as long as 32 years, the oldest confirmed specimen reported being 36 years old. Proper diet and exercise are major determining factors in how long a bird will live.
