Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 2 years and 9 months old | 60 lbs
My dog has struggled with allergies of various kinds (mainly food and environmental) her entire life, so her recent flare up in response to the increase in grass pollen didn't surprise me. The typical bumps and itchiness. She did, however, develop a cough and subsequently bad breath this time. Could this be from the excess mucus, or is this possibly a respiratory infection, or something else? *We will be seeing our vet soon regardless of the severity*

Poor Paisley! Coughing and mild respiratory sinus can be a symptom of allergies but the breath is not expected to change. I recommend to go ahead with your vet visit. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
