Dog skin blisters spreading: Is it mange or a severe skin infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | 60 lbs

I thought my dog had dermodex which I had been treating with detail soap and apple cider. However after awhile these blisterlike wounds started to appear on her chest which had spread. Looks likes she was burnt which not under her limbs and stomach and neck. We do not have vets on the island or Good dog medication.

It looks like Tracker has a severe case of Demodex and now a secondary bacterial infection. There are no soaps or remedies that will treat the Demodex. Tracker really needs to see a vet for an appropriate parasiticide and antibiotics for the skin infection. This article discusses remedies you may find available on the island: https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/demodectic-mange-1/
