My dog has a large red knot on his face and he has an irritated area on his chest, I just saw it this morning does anyone know what it is?

Those could be fly larva living under the skin. Abscesses or wounds that are infected are also possible. I recommend to have Noah examined to be safe. Until you get him into the vet, you can apply a warm compress twice daily. Protect the areas from licking or scratching. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
