Why does my puppy eat wood and bark? Is this normal, and what to do?

My dog always tries to eat wood or tree bark.. He would eat almost anything he finds...so.is this behaviour normal and would end with time or I need to take some action??? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 7 months and 22 days old | 38 lbs
