Pancreatitis dog won't eat vet food, only treats. Is this okay?

Pet's info: Dog | Tibetan Terrier | Male | neutered | 8 years and 7 months old | 28 lbs

Hello, my dad just had a bought with pancreatitis. I keep trying to give him bland food and he will not eat it. Tried vet. Food. Would not eat it. He will eat dog cookies and prochutto. I do not get it.

Dogs with pancreatitis are incredibly nauseous and very painful. He is likely eating what he feels up to eating. It's ok for a few days until he starts feeling perky again, then you can get him back to his normal dog food.
