My dog's paw pad is gashed and bleeding. What first aid can I give?

Hi im hoping u can help or advise me my name us donna nice to speak with u i have a 2 year old light brown and white English bulldog female called lulu I let her in the garden for last pee of the day as I normally do I didn't realise there was a cat in the garden before letting her out and as most dogs do she chased it the cat got away but wen she came back indoors i noticed she was bleeding and on checking her over i noticed that she had gashed the lower part of the big middle pad its about 4-5

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lulu. Unfortunately, your question must have exceeded the text limit as it was cut off. I understand that she has a cut on her paw pad. She will need to see her veterinarian. It may require surgery to heal depending on the size of the wound. If not, bandaging and antibiotics could be needed. In the meantime, place an E-collar on her to prevent her from licking the wound. Keep the area clean and dry as well. I hope this information helps!
