Hi! Tony takes methimazole 5mg, 1/2 in the AM and I/2 in the PM and tumil-k tablets, one in the AM and one in the PM.. my question is, how strict are the administration times ... exactly every 12 hours or can it between every 9-12 hours? Thank you!

Hello. Because of the half life of medications, it is important to try & stay within the recommended dosing range. If you are off an hour or so every so often, that is OK. But especially with the methimazole, you want get the best possible effects from this medication for Tony, so that means adhering as close to schedule as possible. The tumil-k is just a supplement, so timing is not as critical, but again, it is best to try your best to adhere to the proper schedule so an even amount of the medications are always present in his system to control his condition.
