Why is my dog constantly hungry and restless after his injection?

Hello. For the past 4-5 days, after an injection he got for a backache, my dog has been constantly asking for food. We have fed him as much as he usually eats but he always seems hungry. He is also not sleeping and just always hungry. I know him and he genuinely seems really hungry. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 9 years and 5 months old | 98 lbs

Some medications, such as steroids used to treat pain and inflammation, may cause an increase in appetite as well as an increase in thirst/urination. If this was what was given to Ozzy, that could be the case. If you're unsure what was given, or are concerned the medication is making his symptoms worse, talking to your vet is best to see if any additional treatment is needed.
