Is calcium chloride brine toxic if my dog licked paw rinse water?

Is calcium chloride brine toxic to dogs if ingested?? The dust control crews might have sprayed some on our dirt roads and I just took my dog for a walk... I did rinse his paws with the hose but he actually licked the water that I sprayed them with... only about 4 small licks? But now I’m very concerned.

Calcium chloride is toxic to dogs, but you did the right thing by rinsing Rocket's paws. I suspect because it's a brine, it's diluted, which makes it less toxic, and I would be worried if he licked the actually stuff itself, not just rinse water.
