What breed is my mixed dog? Why does he only eat when I'm nearby?

Pet's info: Dog | Norfolk Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 150 lbs

Hello I’m wondering if you could tell me what type of breed my dog is I know he’s a mixed breed and some sort of terrier but that’s all I know id also like to ask is there a reason he only eats his food when I am in the same room with him Thanks Jonathan

He looks like he could be a terrier/shepherd mix of some sort, however there are cheek swab and saliva tests that can be done to determine breed make up of your dog. Most vets and some pet stores carry them and they're easy to do at home if you're really curious. As for the eating with you watching, it could be that Max feels more comfortable having a buddy "looking out" for him, especially if he is a rescue. You can work on this by gradually standing further away each day when you feed him to help him adjust.
