Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This will change and increase as he continues to grow. What I recommend is that you follow the feeding instructions in the bag of the food you are feeding Simba. The reason is that every diet has a different caloric content. Also, you will see that the amount will increase until he becomes 10-12 months old as his weight will continue to increase with his growth. Have a good day!

At this young age your puppy should still be nursing and does not necessarily need puppy food. If Simba is no longer nursing for whatever reason then I would recommend feeding him a high quality puppy food moistened with milk replacer. I recommend Hills, Science Diet, Royal Canin or Purina. Once he is about 6 weeks old he can be exclusively on puppy food. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck!
