My dog had seizures and high fever. Why is he breathing fast now?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Male | unneutered | 32 lbs

My Dog is a 4-year-old Doberman Pinscher. Today morning at 3am he suffered multiple seizures for about 1.5 hours accompanied by high body temperature at around 106 degrees. I took him to a vet who was available early morning and he said it's high fever issue due to tick bite. He gave some injections to my dog "Buddy". After this Buddy stopped shaking but started breathing very fast and was wheeing in between for another 5 hours. What could be the issue ?

I think it is more likely that the high temperature was due to the seizures. Their bodies shake so much that it is like they just ran a marathon. The seizures could certainly be brought on by tick disease, but could also be caused by liver or kidney issues, infection, epilepsy, etc. For these types of cases, I usually hospitalize on IV fluids, run a CBC and blood chemistry and urinalysis and tick tests, and monitor for additional seizure activity throughout the day.
