Is Mera Country Taste chicken dry food safe for my cat's kidneys?

I’m feeding my cat Mera country taste chicken dry food for 3 months now. He seems to love it and ingredient list seems to be good. Someone told me it causes kidney diseases in cats in the long term. Can you share any of your experience regarding this brand. Its manufactured in germany. Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | neutered | 8 months and 28 days old | 6.6 lbs

I am not familiar with any foods that cause kidney disease - if that was true it wouldn't be sold any more! Cats in general are prone to developing kidney disease as they get older. When that happens, we often change them to a different diet that is lower in protein and has some difference in minerals to decrease the load on the kidneys.
