My dog has bloodshot eyes and eye boogers. Is it an emergency?

My dog has almost bloodshot eyes and he has some eye boogers around them. What could this possibly be? And would it be something to contact an emergency vet or could I wait until tomorrow to make an appointment? Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 60 lbs

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions.
