My new cat is sneezing. What about milk, AC, and feeding schedules?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Angora | Female

Hi there, Ive just adopted a cat and she is sneezing during nightime and maybe 2 3 times during day. Is it ok to give her milk Is there a need to keep her away from a/c. And should i leave a bowl full of food for her to eat according to her wish or should i keep the food only during the feeding time. Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you Aldrin Lyju.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It would be best to get her used to a feeding schedule as that way she will consistently eat at the same time every time. While you can give milk, it is not necessary if she is on a good diet. The sneezing may be due to an allergy to something in the environment or an upper respiratory infection so if this continues, it would be best to have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, she may be fine. Best of luck!
