Why is my cat's poop orange and liquidy after a UTI and antibiotics?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years old | 15 lbs

My cat is just recovering from a urinary infection, finished his antibiotics course and has been urinating and eating normally for the past 3 days. Since this morning he has pooped twice (usually does once a day) and it looks orangish and bit liquidy in consistency (not diarrhea though). Is this a cause for concern?

It may be related to the recent stress of the infection or medications that were given. I would just keep an eye on it. If it continues for 24-48 hours or if Chibi develops additional symptoms, such as poor appetite or lethargy, I would definitely have him re-examined by the vet.
